BACKCOUNTRY HUTS: SANCTUARIES IN THE WILDERNESS • Determination, a pioneering spirit, a keen sense of community, and at times, significant cash investment has provided us with access to breathtaking regions of the New Zealand wilderness. There are countless huts to choose from—Mt Arthur, Crosbie’s, Jane, Bog Inn, Highland Creek, Salisbury Lodge, Crow, Speargrass, Siberia, to name a few.
